1. Climb the Dachstein summit on the oldest via ferrata in the world

The via ferrata „Randkluft“ is the oldest in the world. The geologist Friedrich Simony loved the Dachstein, but to climb the summit was way to exausting for him. So he asked at the aristocracy in Bad Ischl for 260 guilders for the purchase of iron pegs and ships ropes to build the first via ferrata ever. 1843 built the Hallstatt mountain guide Johann Wallner the first via ferrata of the Alps.
